OUTDOOR GARDEN PROJECTS

Welcome to Class!

I don’t know about you, but this has been one of the craziest winters I have ever experienced – cold one day, warm the next. It’s hard not to get excited for spring in February when we have beautiful 70 degree days like we did today! That being said, there’s probably more winter on the way before all is said and done. I know, I’m sorry to be the one to break it to you.

Don’t worry, though! You can plan and prepare for those outdoor projects long before the last freeze is over. Have you ever thought about garden salvage? It can play a big part in bringing those projects to life!

Here’s what you do: take a trip to your nearest salvage yard. You will be surprised at what they have to offer. Put on your creative hat and look at pieces in a new light. How can you bring a little life and energy into your backyard patio space, for instance? Picture a vintage crystal chandelier hanging over your outside table, a concrete bird bath filled with candles or a topiary in your home’s front entry.

It doesn’t have to be elaborate to make a statement about your personal style. Something simple like hanging an old piece of wrought iron on the wall or putting a concrete statue in the corner can be the timeless touch you were looking for!

The most important thing is to remember there are no mistakes when using architectural salvage inside or outside. Try it, if you don’t love it – move it to another space, it will work there!

I would love to see pictures of the garden projects you tackle indoors or out. Please share them on our FB wall!
