Minimizing Clutter with Salvage

Welcome to class!

I have one word for you: Clutter.

I am constantly waging a battle against it! This time of year it seems every magazine and home show is talking about how we all need to “get organized”.

The problem is finding something unique with a sense of style to hide all the clutter and help us get organized. Salvage is your solution! Or should I say “salvation”.

Do you have stacks upon stacks of magazines in your home? What about this idea?

Try using something like this antique copper boiler with a lid. How cute is that? And so dual purpose – those piles of House Beautiful and Country Living stay nice and tidy and HIDDEN, all while maintaining your unique sense of style.

Do you walk into your playroom and want to head for the hills? Are your children’s books and toys threatening to overtake you?

An antique icebox! This awesome piece doubles as storage, and again, you can CLOSE THE DOOR on the clutter.

And lastly, what about remotes? Do you feel like yours migrate throughout your house? Or even go missing? Think outside the “box” and use something like this vintage soda crate to keep you organized.

Cute and clutter-free!

I hope this gives you some ideas on how to organize the clutter in your home using salvaged and found objects – affordable and stylish!
